We were delighted to attend the IMAA awards ceremony night, a prestigious event that celebrates and recognises the outstanding achievements of Irish Masters in various fields. This annual gathering brought together a diverse group of talented individuals, each of whom has made significant contributions to their respective disciplines, showcasing the remarkable skills and dedication that characterise the Irish Master's community.

The evening was filled with an air of excitement and anticipation as attendees mingled, sharing stories of their journeys and successes. The atmosphere was vibrant, with elegantly dressed guests engaging in lively conversations, reflecting the camaraderie and mutual respect that permeates the community.
As the ceremony commenced, we were treated to a series of inspiring speeches from notable figures, highlighting the importance of excellence and committment in the pursuit of mastery. Each award presented was a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and creativity of the nominees, who had poured their hearts and souls into their performances.
The awards covered a wide range of categories. Each recipient's story was unique, filled with challenges and triumphs that resonated deeply. The moment when the winners were announced was met with enthusiastic applause and cheers, as friends, family and clubmates celebrated their achievements with pride.

We were thrilled to see Plant Based AC athlete Rachel, and her 800m World Record breaking relay team win the award for 2025 Team of the Year. Well done to Denise Toner, Ciara Hickey, Michelle Cox and our own Rachel Murphy for their outstanding performance - which broke a 16 year standing record set by the USA. Worthy to note too that this was Rachel's first ever relay race. Not a bad way to start off!
Overall, the IMAA awards ceremony night was not just a celebration of individual accomplishments, but also a reflection of the collective spirit of excellence that defines the Irish Master's community. Well done to all Irish Master's on their super performances and well earned awards. None of which would be possible without the support and backing of the Irish Master's Athetics Association!
