The 2024 National Master's Championships were held in Tullamore Harriers AC grounds again this year. Plant Based AC had two athletes competing in a total of four races.
Our athletes were up against strong competition and strong gusts of wind too as the day went on.. It was tough conditions to race in for all athletes competing in the prestigious event. The culmination of the track events for 2024.
Our athletes raced well and rounded out the day with four medals in total. Lea achieved two first place finishes in his category, claiming two gold medals, in the 800m and 5000m races. Rachel finished second in her age category and claimed silver in her 800m and 3000m races.
It was a pleasure for our club to compete in this event with so many other athletes on the day - the nation was well represented with clubs from many locations competing. Special word of thanks to all those behind the scenes who made it run so smoothly.
